(no subject)

so this is the north wind enid blyton would rabbit on about? man, my ears are cold. it is actually almost painful walking home without a scarf. i shall knit myself something instead of this endless parade of gloves for others. was listening to sirens (written, i presume, in melbourne) earlier; a completely different north wind but still unpleasant i admit.
am thinking (again) about the differences between the europe you notice in books and the actual one i'm living in now. this is exacerbated by the fact that i never read read books set now, but kinda have to live now.
oh! bill has totally fucked my computer! the cd drive won't open anymore. Not Impressed. I didn't want to replace this until the end of next year, but it looks like much sooner without a cd drive, k key or battery life. Do you suppose my travel insurance will cover an idiot dropping my laptop when he was drunk and i was away for the weekend? (Bill is scary broke and barely has enough to eat. I can't take money from him, he doesn't have any.)

Crap! same thing happened to my sisteres computer. She mamnaged to finaly get some tech support on it and got the thing fixe.d. only problem is a 6400 from australia is different to a 6400 from Canada
