(no subject)

I had such a good day yesterday I shall celebrate by doing almost nothing today.
I spent most of the morning researching graduate entry teaching programs, and there's one at CSU which I didn't see last time because it's a Bachelor's degree, which seemed undergraduate, but you can't do the TL strand unless you are already qualified to join ALIA, and so it's exactly what I was looking for, and that IS a crazy run-on sentence. I'm also qualified to take SOSE instead of English, so I'll do that, cause I don't believe the world needs another English teacher. You do have to do one curriculum method, even if you are doing TL.
I ran the current draft of my work project past the head of IT and she loves it, so that's gratifying; I got masses of stuff done, which is also gratifying,
AND THEN
One of the year 12s gave me chocolate and the most darling card, saying thank you for teaching her how to use the photocopier and allowing her to borrow as many books as she could carry, and generally making the library a friendly and helpful place this year.
SO THAT WAS AWESOME.

Very cute. Given the general reluctance of kids to do anything nice for teachers, you must be one heck of a librarian.

hey, you're back!
this particular student gave cards to most of her teachers, but i still count it as a win, especially as i'm not a teacher!
