why do I have three separate pairs of 3.25mm circular needles? I have never needed any 3.25mm circular needles!

is there a significant difference between "whilst" and "while"?

Besides being a synonym for whilst, while can also be used as a noun (as in "a short while") or a verb (as in "to while away time").
