(no subject)

Last wednesday, the internet wasn't working when I got home. Many hours of being on hold and talking to helpdesk people later, turns out Telstra told Optus to disconnect us because we were switching to Telstra.
We were considering switching, sure.
Would have been nice if, you know, Telstra connected us.
Now, we have no internet, Telstra don't know what our problem is, and Optus want to charge us $150 for breaking our contract.

TPG, here we come!

Dn't you have recourse? I mean, Optus took their direction from another telco - cold have been anyone playing a dirty trick. The important thing is, it wasn't *you* who told Optus to disconnect the service.

I'm with Internode BTW, who have on the whole been very good (with slight hiccups though nothing on the scale of Optus.)
