a conversation on the phone at work today:
me: Library, Emilly speaking
someone on the phone who didn't bother to identify herself: Hey, what's that thing buried in Switzerland? It's underground, it's big.
me: The large hadron collider?
the other person: yes! thankyou! *hangs up*
i was also asked: how to add an email signature in Outlook; how to add something to the internet*; where is nova scotia; how much does it cost to mail a dvd; and what's the other word instead of eskimo.
apparently I am the the person that knows THINGS about STUFF.
*yes. I worked out that they meant to our school's website, in which case the answer is, you can't. But you can email it to me if you would like me to add it.
In other news, I bought myself a real pair of skates. THEY GO FAST.

lol, welcome to my world :)
Today, I had to climb over the kids sitting outside the library who we discussing "How do you prove the tree made a sound when it fell over?"
Common questions have included: "You know that book with the pink cover?"; "What's the name of the new teacher?" and "Where can I buy a ?"
I know far too much crap that I wish I didn't and I've got really good at observing and making note of a lot of things.

Student, clueless: "Can I have that book? You know, the maths one?"
Me, magically producing the appropriate volume: "This one?"
Student, briefly awed: "Wow! You know everything"
Some days I felt like a stage magician.

I love my rollerblades, even though I hardly ever get out on them these days and when I do it's usually on the (quiet) streets. Haven't been to a skate park in ages!
