i was accused of being "such a nerd" today. To which all i could say was, well, yeah.
The posies last night were excellent, entirely erasing all the ick i felt earlier by finding a customer had complained to work about me by name. The first band was hilarious, even more so because they didn't mean to be so. The pictures were good, but the posies! Unfortunately, describing it as the best gig this year doesn't mean as much as it could: as it should. Ken Stringfellow gets better every time i see him, and they played encore after encore. It was great.
Though, what the customer said was such complete crap that my boss doesn't believe it at all, and said so to the store manager before needing to hear my version. Nice to be believed on the grounds of articulation: part of what the customer accused me of was using the phrase "got it?" (as in, "if you bothered to notice the sign, you'd have seen we're closed, got it?") If I was going to be rude to a customer, at least (my boss said) i would do it without using such an ugly turn of phrase. Nice.
Went to Sydney Road today, and saw Mayfly: amusing that i still know the words to some songs. I wanted to stay to see Jen Cloher, but she wasn't on till 7.30, and it was hot, and i was woken very early this morning, and i was beginning to get a headache, so i came home to see the internets and eat pizza. i have tomorrow off work too! two days in a row! it's like a little holiday. Though i have homework to do in the morning and class in the afternoon, i can sleep in and in. Hopefully tomorrow morning sibling is not again ill and doesn't need to throw up from his window out on to the driveway by my room.
