yay birthday & assignments done!
Mar. 21st, 2006 09:28 pmso at some point i should do an actual entry, cause i actually did all kinds of things this week. Some of them for the first time -- handing in a uni assignment late, now that's an achievement.
Showed someone at work the new tattoo yesterday and she presumed it was a fake: i'd first told her about the costume party i went to saturday night. Now it's gotten scabby and irritated, and could not be presumed to be fake. ick.
Sunday -- even though it was the first time i'd ever worked on my birthday, was indeed lovely. Started by attending a commonwealth games event in my pjs and barefoot: we ran downstairs from
mystefaction's flat to see part of the marathon. (I'm definitly warming to the commonwealth games. Sure it's a little more crowded, but not much. And there's so much to do! I've two more assignments this week; they may be late in as well!) Worked -- some of the girls from work bought me the prettiest necklace ever. Was downstairs for half the shift and got to freak the customers out while working next to tristan. (Don't you two look similiar? Well, having the same parents will do that.)
thanks to you all who came on sunday night, i had an excellent time. Someone -- i suspect not-lj-dave -- left a number of messages in my book which
dcrisp was kind enough to return. I left most of my stuff in tristan's car, including the cd
baralier burnt for me, so i haven't had a chance to hear it yet. The evil
drjon can claim some responsibility for my assignment being late, as i've already finished Cobweb. At a guess, that's more than the blurb editor did; but then again, i find it hard enough to blurb books myself. Stephenson books? Fair enough it's hard to blurb them.
Couldn't do anything productive on monday; i hate how hangovers get worse as the day goes on! Finished everything today tho. Have a job interview tomorrow; i'm ambivalent about the job itself, but i spose the interview itself will give me experience interviewing and will only cost an hour of my time.
