Sep. 18th, 2007 12:44 pmso this is the north wind enid blyton would rabbit on about? man, my ears are cold. it is actually almost painful walking home without a scarf. i shall knit myself something instead of this endless parade of gloves for others. was listening to sirens (written, i presume, in melbourne) earlier; a completely different north wind but still unpleasant i admit.
am thinking (again) about the differences between the europe you notice in books and the actual one i'm living in now. this is exacerbated by the fact that i never read read books set now, but kinda have to live now.
oh! bill has totally fucked my computer! the cd drive won't open anymore. Not Impressed. I didn't want to replace this until the end of next year, but it looks like much sooner without a cd drive, k key or battery life. Do you suppose my travel insurance will cover an idiot dropping my laptop when he was drunk and i was away for the weekend? (Bill is scary broke and barely has enough to eat. I can't take money from him, he doesn't have any.)
