It is crazy hot. In "why is emilly actually suprised" news, New Zealand is green. Like, honestly, really, verdant. Like hypothetical English countryside: hypothetical as the only times I saw the English countryside it was dark, or flooded, or both. The greenness and the heat are making me twitch as you should only be allowed to have one of those elements.
Also you already knew this: kiwis are preternaturally nice. I am tempted to go on public transport during rush hour to see how far the niceness goes.
