May. 17th, 2009 08:48 amI went to roller derby last night and now i want a pair of rollerskates.
However I do also remember being nine (? or ten?) and ALL I WANTED IN THE WORLD EVER was a pair of rollerskates and Mum had bought me a pair but I HAD TO WAIT TILL CHRISTMAS OH MY GOD IT WAS WEEKS AWAY. So I dunno. I am joining the circus but not till next term. Given I postponed circus class this term so I could have some time for c5/uni work I should probably do some work, hey?
Aisah came over to watch SPN on frinight and at some point was poking at the cataloguing drawers where much crafty stuff is kept. Mostly tools, obviously, as you would know if you remember a card catalogue: the drawers are about 15x15cm and maybe 40 cm deep. So you can get maybe 4 balls of yarn in a drawer and not nearly enough fabric to be worthwhile. For some reason, however, there are two drawers that have some yarn in - some mercerized cotton of clare's that i steal for "waste yarn" and some more random yarn that just ended up there. So Aisah said, "You guys have a lot of wool."
I laughed.
And when I was capable of standing, I showed her what "a lot of wool" actually looks like. Cause that's in the dining room. In 50L storage crates.
She was speechless.
